Double Victory

Coinciding with the start of the 70th anniversary celebrations of the Porsche Clubs, the Porsche Club Carrera RS 2.7 France celebrated 50 years of the legendary “duck tail”.

Porsche. 911. Carrera. RS. 2.7. Entenbürzel. Duck tail. – Eternal synonyms burnt into asphalt for an icon among icons. 500 vehicles were once planned. In the end, 1,580 vehicles were produced for ambitious, passionate Porsche enthusiasts who wished to drive a road-legal sports car in racing events. And 62 of them were now celebrating 50 years of the Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7.

The Carrera RS was allowed to celebrate in its natural habitat: on the race track. Le Mans focused on the RS from 26 - 29 May 2022. The prelude: a dinner on the very day the first Porsche Club was founded. The second day: a rally through the Sarthe region gave the icon a chance to warm up and prepare for the racing asphalt. Saturday - track time: two sessions on the legendary race track, open day at the Porsche Experience Center Le Mans, assembly of the RS cars in front of the grandstands, and an impressive RS parade. Rally driver and endurance racer Jean-Claude Andruet focused on the RS as an instructor and expert, Jürgen Barth talked about his life, and the former president of the French association, Michel Atero, presented his Porsche Club chronicle. Porsche France and Global Community Management took over the Club anniversary part and supported the event.

A great celebration for the legendary icon, unforgettable days for the RS Club community, a great day for the worldwide Club family. Two can make a pair.
