Anniversary Event at the Porsche Museum Pfeifhofer
On the occasion of the two anniversaries “70 years of Porsche Clubs worldwide" and "40 years of Porsche Museum Helmut Pfeifhofer", more than 100 participants with 60 Porsche vehicles went to Gmünd to the birthplace of the first Porsche cars – the 52 Porsche 356 Alu-Coupés – after a spendid breakfast in the respective local Porsche Centres.
The former gatehouse with its adjoining construction barracks, the Porsche Museum Gmünd and the already well-equipped new modern extension building were extensively visited under the expert guidance of Austria's “fastest museum director” Christoph Pfeifhofer.
After a superb catering at Gmünd Castle, the Malta Hochalmstrasse to the Kölnbreinsperre was taken under the wheels, and the very brave visited the inside of the dam wall, which holds 200 million m² of water in control.
A few snowflakes accompanied the journey home, some of the participants spent Saturday evening in Gmünd and only returned home on Sunday in better weather via the Nockalmstrasse and the Hebalm.
